Position Overview:
Woods Fort Golf Course is seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic management. The successful candidate will take pride in providing top-quality playing conditions while leading and developing a skilled maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all turfgrass maintenance practices for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and practice areas.
- Develop and execute agronomic programs, including fertility, irrigation, and pest management.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and supervise staff scheduling, training, and performance.
- Maintain and operate the irrigation system efficiently.
- Manage budget, equipment maintenance, and supply inventories.
- Ensure course aesthetics, playability, and environmental stewardship.
- Communicate regularly with ownership and management on course conditions and project planning.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certificate in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of golf course maintenance experience, with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Missouri pesticide applicator’s license (or ability to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of warm- and cool-season turf management in the Midwest.
- Hands-on, team-oriented leadership style and strong communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $80,000.00 – 90,000.00 compensation package
